With the Directorate of Tribal Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu, and the Centre for Social Justice and Equity, MSSW has engaged in the NGO empanelment process during October and November to identify the potential NGOs who work among the tribal communities across Tamil Nadu. There were 180 NGOs that applied to receive the project grants for the welfare of tribal communities in Tamil Nadu.

One Day Orientation Session on Livelihood Projects for Empanelled NGOs – Chennai

‘‘One Day Orientation Session on Livelihood Schemes for Empanelled NGOs” A one day orientation session was held with the participation of officials from Adi Dravidian and Tribal Departments; Advice was given on how to reach out to tribal people by NGOs. Their livelihood and their industry should be modernized. “Representatives of NGOs, with the aim of improving the lives of tribal people and making them an efficient and responsible society.” The Centre for Social Justice and Equity, Madras School of Social Work College was held on 06.11.23 with directors of thirty-one (31) NGOs. A total of forty-four (44) participants from thirty-one (31) NGOs [see Annexure I for list of organizations] participated in this Participated in orientation program.
Delivered the welcome address Dr.Raja Samual Principal Madras School of Social Work. Then delivered Mr. C. Annadurai,CIS Director, Tribal Welfare Directorate need for empanelment and expectation from NGOs. Deliver the keynote address Ms. C.Laxmi Priya IAS, Secretary Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Development Government of Tamil Nadu, and last one Mr.S.Suresh Kumar Joint Director, Tribal Welfare Directorate.
At the end of the program, directors of NGOs from various districts interacted with heads of tribal welfare departments.

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity – Tiruchirappalli

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity, A one day orientation session was held with the participation of the NGOs Directors. Advice was given on how to reach out to marginalized communities and people by NGOs. A one-day Consultation organized jointly Centre for Social Justice and Equity, (MSSW) and the Department of Women’s Studies, Bharathidasan University Tiruchirappalli on the topic Social Justice and Equality in Advocacy for Society, held on 17.11.2023. The program was attended from five districts (Perambalur Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, Pudukottai and Karur) and participants included directors of NGOs, researchers, and Students. The total number of participants was forty-four. (39).

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity, the participation of the NGOs Directors, Social activist. Advice was given on how to reach out to marginalized communities and people by NGOs. The program was attended from four districts (Tirunelveli, Thenkasi, Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari) and participants included directors of NGOs, researchers, and Students. The total number of participants was twelve. (12). The Program was organized by the Centre for Social Justice and Equity (CSJE) Madras School of Social Work, on 23.01.24 at Sree Bharani Hotel, Tirunelveli.

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity – Erode

Politics should be viewed from a social perspective as social justice and economic development for all. We have invited only civil society organization working for oppressed or marginalized community people to this consultation meeting. Apart from that, we have to working about women, children, environment. Many programme all of you should collaboration with our center. The program was attended from four districts (Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Salem, Nilgiris, Namakkal) and participants included directors of NGOs, researchers, and Students. The total number of participants was thirty-six. (36). Objective

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity- Madurai

The first NGO consultation under this process was organised on 20 February 2024 at Madurai. 29 participants representing marginalised NGOs from south zone (including Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, and Ramanathapuram) participated in this consultation. Mr. Evidence Kathir Founder & Executive Director, Evidence. Civil Society Organisation inaugurated the meeting in Madurai. A completely participatory approach was adopted at the meeting where all participants interacted freely and voiced their opinions. Mr. Antony Stephen Program Coordinator, Social Justice and Equity, Madras School of Social Work, addressed the participants at the Valedictory session of the meeting. The Program was organized by the Centre for Social Justice and Equity (CSJE) Madras School of Social Work, on 20.02.24 at North Gate Hotel, Tamukkam Main Road, opposite to American College, Goripalayam, Madurai – 625002.

The program was attended from four districts (Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Cuddalore, Pondicherry) and participants included directors of NGOs, researchers, and Students. The total number of participants was twelve. (26). The Program was organized by the Centre for Social Justice and Equity (CSJE) Madras School of Social Work, on 02.04.2024 at Thurumbar Development Trust Gingee, Villupuram. Jerome Samraj, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Pondicherry University.

One Day Civil Society Consultation on Social Justice and Equity- Krishnagiri

The program was attended from four districts (Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Vellore, Ranipet, and Thirupathure) and participants included directors of NGOs, researchers, and Students. The total number of participants was twelve. (40). The Program was organized by the Centre for Social Justice and Equity (CSJE) Madras School of Social Work, on 15.04.2024 at Rajadurai Residency, Krishnagiri. Awareness should be given to students in college and schools. It is very difficult for tribal girls to go to work in this time. It should be fixed. We should all work for children, tribal people, to work for the marginalized community and migrant workers. What is social justice should be clarified. Colleges and schools should develop a perspective on social justice. many Reports should be generated based on the study.
